Why Parents Choose RHA
Rory and Julie Mitz
When Lucas and Lily Mitz arrived at
Beth Tzedec Congregation for the
High Holidays, they turned to their
parents and announced proudly,
"This is where we go to school too!"
They were thrilled to show it off,
according to Julie and Rory, who
made the decision to send their
kids to RHA three years ago. Baby
brother, Tyler, will join his siblings
at school next year.
The family wanted a Jewish
education for their children. They
wanted to instill the customs and
values of Jewish life. They couldn't
be happier with their choice.
From the beginning, they say,
the academics stood out.
"We also love some of the extra
initiatives," says Julie, "like Woods
Wednesdays and the skating
program at Forest Hill Arena."
Both parents are comforted by
the school's leadership. "We know
that there are multiple points of
contact and that everyone in the
administration is up to speed on
our kids."
And while the Mitz family is thrilled
with the renovations to the physical
school, they are quick to point out
that RHA is about so much more.
"We chose RHA not for what it looks
like, but for what it offers: a leading-
edge education in a nurturing
environment where every child
has care and attention."
"The curriculum is at a
high level," Rory says.
"We were impressed with
the CAIS accreditation, with
the differentiated teaching
methods, and with the
inquiry-based learning.
