For each of our elementary grades (1 to 5) we have two
classes. We offer an integrated program of General and
Judaic Studies.
Our Early Years graduates are well prepared to take on an advanced
curriculum that is rooted in the six skills that global educational experts
say are the predictors of lifelong success.
The first is critical thinking. Mastering the basics is no longer enough.
So right from the start we teach our children how to bring inquiry,
analysis and imagination to everything they learn.
Then we train students in the art of communication because how well
they present their thinking is integral to success. And we teach students
how to collaborate because while independent
thinking is important, the ability to work with others
is today's imperative.
We develop in our children global awareness
because the world is too interdependent for narrow
viewpoints, and it needs global citizens who can
look at issues from a multi-dimensional perspective.
And we foster creativity in our students because
smart problem solving is a creative process, one
that propels students to discover new answers to
old problems by looking outside the box.
Finally, we develop character in our students. Our Character Education
Initiative gives our children the qualities – responsibility, empathy
and fairness – to become ethical leaders. And it instills tenacity and
resourcefulness – just what's needed to persevere in the face of
life's challenges.
