26 GRADE FIVE PLAYMAKERS Older students build confidence and interpersonal skills as they mentor and lead outdoor games with the younger ones during recess. Playmakers teach students how to play games and about good sportsmanship, fairness, problem-solving and teamwork. And they have fun in the process! GYMNASTICS CLUB Things are hopping — and leaping, tumbling, spinning and balancing as the gymnastics club takes the floor during lunchtime. Older kids help the younger ones use low beams, vaults, mats and more. ISRAEL ENGAGEMENT At RHA, Israel is not just a subject, it's integrated into everything we teach. Students learn about Israel's history, geography, multicultural mosaic, literature and economic realities. Students explore contemporary Israeli society from innovations and technology to arts and culture. Parents are invited to a deeply moving tribute to Eretz Yisrael led by the Grade 5 students. ROSH CHODESH Students lead their first Rosh Chodesh service in Beth Tzedec's Hendeles Chapel. It is a celebration of our t'fillah leaders as they recite the blessings for an aliyah and chant from the Torah. The service connects our children with the spirituality of prayer and lays the groundwork for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah year. Mazal Tov!
