24 GRADE FOUR GO RHA THUNDER! RHA offers many sports opportunities for budding and seasoned athletes. The school trophy case proudly displays the many awards and trophies we have won over the years. Physical education classes focus on activation, fun games, skills development and improvement, sportsmanship and the pursuit of an active lifestyle. The Jewish Day School Sports League (JDSSL) offers inter-school competition with leagues and tournaments in multiple sports. LIGHTS, SOUND, ACTION! This multidisciplinary unit includes language arts, social studies, science and technology. With a spotlight on Indigenous shadow plays, students learn the properties of sound and light to enhance communication. Students collaborate and think critically while focusing on global issues such as peace, identity, diversity, sustainability, innovation and justice. They choose a legend to retell, complete a project plan and present it to their peers. DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP Computational learning supports problem-solving skills. Digital citizens use online tools properly and safely to connect with others. We start implementing skills early using innovative tools. We offer access to resources and foster creativity through technology. Students use Chromebooks to enhance learning. These devices are safe, easy to use and allow students to work independently or collaborate with other students from wherever they may be. WORLD MATH The International Caribou Mathematics Competition is held six times throughout the school year and culminates with the "Caribou Cup". Open to students in Grades 2 through to 8, RHA students have rocked Caribou, placing among the world's top 2% in their grade categories!
