RHA is well-reputed for having some of the country's top educators. In fact, our award- winning teachers continually redesign and retool curriculum based on best practices and first-hand classroom experience. Experts in their fields, faculty participate in rigorous professional development, and they develop new projects to reflect our abiding focus on critical thinking and lifelong character development. Most of all, RHA teachers wholly invest in every child, helping them to realize their unique potential. Here are just some of our amazing faculty. Hana Macmull, Middle School Judaic Studies: Sets system-wide standards for teaching Bible Studies and brings the widsom of the past to today's challenges. Silvia Eilath, Principal: Seasoned educator, deeply knowledgeable about Jewish text, instrumental in developing and implementing standardized quality for the Board of Jewish Education, and expert in training teachers for day and supplementary schools, Silvia works tirelessly to create education that makes students think. Claire Sumerlus, Head of School: One of Canada's leading thinkers in educational pedagogy, Claire's expertise spans curriculum development, special needs, and high-level administration. A past president of the Canadian Association of Independent Schools and board member of many Jewish organizations, Claire takes a multi- disciplinary approach to education that creates a rich and inspiring learning environment. Shayla Morrison, Vice Principal: A veteran teacher in inner-city and private schools, Shayla's experience runs the gamut from designing curriculum, coaching teachers, developing social programs for students and working extensively in the Jewish Day School system.
