RHA STUDENTS REALLY DO REACH FURTHER The awards poured in for RHA students this year, and they are just a few of the many accomplishments. In the famously tough Bible Contest, 14 of our students qualified for nationals in Montreal. Two RHA students placed in the top ten in the country. In the international Caribou Math Contest, our students scored well above the average of all other private schools. Our kids in grades seven and eight nailed it, with five of them placing in the top ten of all independent schools. So did our kids in grades three and four, where five of them ranked in the top 12 of all private schools. Bible studies and math are not the only places we shine. Two of our students took home awards from the Royal Canadian Legion Literary Competition for their essays on 'Remembrance.' Six of our students – from grades four to seven – won the UJA Creative Writing Contest. Our debate team made it to the semi-finals in the Fifth Annual Jewish Debating Tournament. The RHA Junior Basketball team made it to the top tier of play offs, and our Senior Girls Basketball team made it to the finals. And our little ones? Two students in grade two had their artwork displayed in the Jewish Music Week Festival. With a special invitation from Premier Kathleen Wynne, our elementary students sang at Queen's Park and lit the Chanukah Menorah. Congratulations to our amazing students.
