34 Zach Hyman, Class of '06 Zach Hyman is a hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, a published author of children's literature and a 2006 graduate of Robbins Hebrew Academy. When asked about his success, Zach says, "If you want something, you have to give it your all. You have to get up, dust yourself off and keep going. Not everything is going to go your way all the time. But if you work hard enough, you will get there. So much of what I learned about attitude and hard work and gratitude came from RHA." David Matlow, Class of '75 David Matlow is a partner at Goodman's LLP, a community leader and a bona fide Herzl expert. He never forgets the impact RHA had on his life. And he's grateful for what it's done for his daughters, all of them RHA graduates. According to David, "RHA is unique. It makes Jewish values and history relevant because they are taught within the context of today's realities and challenges. RHA doesn't want to be just another school. It has purposely designed itself as a Jewish learning academy that is at the cutting-edge of teaching." Hannah Simpson, Class of '07 Hannah Simpson was one of the few to be chosen for Labatt's prestigious Global Management Trainee program straight from the Ivey Business School at Western University. She has since been promoted to Innovations at head office. She says her years at RHA were some of her most formative and influential experiences. "RHA taught me leadership skills and how to be part of a team. That has been invaluable for me. Those were exactly the qualities that companies were looking for." Over the past half century, Robbins Hebrew Academy has produced some of Canada's leading entrepreneurs, great legal minds, spiritual thinkers, groundbreaking scientists, business titans and community philanthropists. And yes, we even have a top Hollywood writer, some Olympic champions and an NHL star.
