original thinkers and principled leaders. She didn't lie…."
In its report, CAIS pointed out the many reasons that
RHA has been accredited. It underscored our rigorous
program of academics, and our commitment to
creating lifelong learners and well-rounded citizens. It
commended our approach to integrating critical thinking
throughout all areas of general and Jewish studies. It
complimented RHA on its innovative Arts Program. It
described RHA as a school with great energy and
enthusiasm for its mission. "The program is
demanding," the report said, "but
teachers and students seemed
excited and motivated by its
content and goals. This clear
devotion and sense of purpose
is attributed to the efforts of the
school's community, especially
the teaching staff."
No doubt our faculty is
responsible for so much of our
success. They teach our students
to master an advanced curriculum
and then to push beyond. They also
teach students to conduct their lives
with dignity and compassion. Because who our students
are as people is as important as what they know.
CAIS accreditation puts RHA among an elite group of
private schools – Jewish and non-Jewish alike (only 16
other schools in Toronto are CAIS-accredited). It tells the
world that our curriculum, our philosophy, our approach
to the full educational experience are on par with the best
in the world. From here on in, we will be part of a global
community of educators who learn from us as much
as we learn from them.
It is gratifying, it is humbling, and it is
exciting to be working at this level
of excellence. But above all else,
we are thrilled to be accredited by
CAIS because it assures parents
that their children are receiving an
education that meets the highest
standards of education – anywhere.
