They were impressed from the moment they walked into
the building. "There was such a sense of calm," Tal says,
"but at the same time the students were engaged. They
looked happy and so eager to participate." With kids
in grades one and three, Tal and Brandon can't believe
how far their children have come in the past two years,
particularly in math and science.
"The curriculum is so well thought out in both Hebrew and
General Studies and the kids really do learn to be critical
thinkers and independent workers. I've watched my kids
mature and excel as they've been challenged throughout
the year," Brandon says.
Tal and Brandon are also thrilled to be part of RHA's close-
knit community.
Changing schools is never easy. The move was one that Tal
and Brandon took very seriously. They considered other
Jewish schools in Toronto, as well as non-Jewish private
schools. "We know we made the right choice," Brandon
says. "We love that RHA isn't too big and because of that
our children have access to education tailored to them,
and to a culture that is all about self-esteem and self-
confidence."
The kids seem to love RHA as well. Ethan recently told his
mom that he is so excited for Monday morning because
school is better than the weekend. There is no better
rating than that.
Why Families are Choosing RHA
THE WIENER FAMILY
Two years ago, Tal and Brandon Wiener made a big decision. They would move three of their kids – Kate, Jack and Ethan
– to Robbins Hebrew Academy from another Toronto Jewish day school (baby Luke is coming as soon as he's old enough).
Tal and Brandon are both graduates of a Montreal Jewish high school, and they wanted a school that was not only
academically advanced, but one that would also instil in their children a deep love of Judaism and Israel.
